Located a mere 10 km / 6 miles east from the Antalya city centre, Antalya International Airport (AYT) is situated on Turkey's Mediterranean Coast. Close to Yesilkoy, Buyukkumluca, Calkaya and Guzeloba, this facility operates an international, domestic and cargo terminal.
AYT Airport serves approximately 25 million passengers annually, most of whom are incoming tourists, arriving for sun, sea, sand and general Antalya holidays. Turkey's primary airport and the Mediterranean's number two after Mallorca, Antalya regularly appears within the top 100 list of worldwide airports and has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade. Amidst much publicity, the tender for passenger terminals has recently been awarded to Fraport and also the IC Group.
The airport is connected to Antalya city centre via the D400 road (Gazi Bulvan) and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes by car. Taxis can be hired from a rank outside of the Arrivals Hall, and the Havas Airport Shuttle Bus offers service to several of the city's major hotels as well as to the city centre. From the city of Antalya, transport along the surrounding coastline and into the countryside can be arranged, with the main destinations including Alanya, Korkuteli, Kumluca, Manavgat and Serik.

Seafood restaurants are plentiful around the main seaside resorts, using freshly caught fish from the nearby waters of the Mediterranean.
